Microblading is the semi-permanent solution to thin, sparse, uneven, or time-consuming eyebrows — and Calgary Laser Health has been delivering natural, tailored results to Calgary clients since 2010.

Using ultra-fine, hair-like strokes deposited into the skin with a specialized blade, our certified microblading specialist creates brows that are precisely shaped to complement your face, match your natural hair colour, and look completely real — because they're designed to.

Results are semi-permanent, lasting up to 2 years with a touch-up, and the entire procedure takes approximately 2 hours. No more pencils, no more powders, no more uneven brows by midday. Just perfectly shaped, natural-looking eyebrows — every single day. Your initial consultation is completely free — book yours today at our downtown Calgary clinic.

Client Testimonials

How Does Eyebrow Microblading Work?

Using a specialized handheld tool, our certified specialist deposits pigment into the upper layers of the skin in fine, precise, hair-like strokes — each one individually placed to complement your natural brow shape, face structure, and hair colour.

Unlike eyebrow tattooing, microblading creates strokes that are finer and fade more naturally over time.

The full procedure takes approximately 2 hours, and a touch-up is recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial session.

Microblading Aftercare — How to Protect Your Results

Proper aftercare is essential for beautiful, long-lasting microblading results. For the first 7–10 days following your appointment:

  • Keep the brow area completely dry — no washing, sweating, or getting caught in the rain.

  • Apply the aftercare ointment provided by your specialist as directed.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or rub the brow area — let any scabbing fall away naturally.

  • Avoid makeup, skincare products, and retinol on or near the brow area.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms.

  • Sleep on your back where possible to avoid rubbing the brows on your pillow.

  • After healing, apply SPF to the brow area when outdoors — sun exposure is the primary cause of premature pigment fading.

Eyebrow Microblading Calgary — Frequently Asked Questions

What is microblading and how is it different from eyebrow tattooing?

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow treatment that uses a specialized handheld tool to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin in fine, hair-like strokes — mimicking the look of real eyebrow hair. Unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing which uses a machine, deposits ink deeper into the skin, and can result in a harsh, artificial appearance over time — microblading creates strokes that are finer, more realistic, and fade more naturally as the pigment gradually breaks down over 1–2 years.

Does microblading hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied 20–30 minutes before the procedure — making the treatment very comfortable for most clients. Most describe the sensation as a light scratching or pressure — far less uncomfortable than expected. Sensitivity varies from person to person but the majority of clients find microblading very tolerable from start to finish.

What does the healing process look like?

Immediately after treatment the brows will appear darker and more defined than the final result — this is completely normal and part of the healing process. Over the following 7–14 days the brows will lighten and soften significantly as the skin heals. The true colour and shape settles after approximately 4 weeks — which is why a touch-up appointment 6–8 weeks after your initial session is recommended.

How long does microblading last?

Results typically last between 1–2 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare instructions. Oily skin tends to break down pigment faster than dry skin. Annual touch-up appointments help maintain the shape and colour long term.

Who is microblading not suitable for?

Microblading is not recommended for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin conditions or infections near the brow area, are on blood thinners or Accutane, have a history of keloid scarring, or have extremely oily skin — as oily skin can affect pigment retention. Our specialist will assess your suitability honestly at your free consultation.

How much does microblading cost in Calgary?

Microblading at Calgary Laser Health is $888 and includes your initial session and a touch-up appointment 6–8 weeks later. Your consultation is completely free — book yours today and our specialist will walk you through exactly what's included and what results you can expect for your specific brow type and face shape.guide at your appointment.
